All over the world people are divided over poetry. There many writers who just adore using creative prose; I just happen to be one of those people. I write fictional pieces, creative articles, short stories and even books. Then of course the the so-called poetry lovers; apparently creative writers who shun away from the thought of having to write a full fiction novel and opt to go to for a shorter and supposedly more creative piece of poetry. Then there are those writers who are talented enough to be able to turn their hand it both poetry and prose and of course enjoy both styles immensely.
In reality anyone can be a poet, the truth is that just about everybody has written some poetry in a life but they just do not realize it. If you have children, you probably made up some type of rhyme when you’re singing to them, these are indeed pieces of poetry. If you have ever written a love note to your partner then again, this often contains poetry. If you have ever been in a band, you have most likely written pieces of poetry for the lyrics to a song. Often, when people actually sit down and think, they are very good poets in their own rights which often comes as a bit of a shock.
Should you decide that poetry is something that you would like to try, you must first think of the subject that you can write about.Personally I enjoy technology so I could write about Solar Cells For Sale because I enjoy writing about green energy. One should not feel constricted by your emotions, just let your thoughts go and your pen flow (see how easy it is). In case you are wondering, Ganoderma is a mushroom.
People are always concerned with length when writing poetry, they had the preconception that poetry must be a certain amount of words. This is not the case. Often words are so powerful that one can convey what they mean in only a few words and do not need to write long lines of prose. Every word counts, every word has power, ensure that you use this power wisely.
Once you have finished your poem be sure that you double check it and thoroughly proofread it. Often given it to a friend for them to read is a good idea.
